Most frequent questions and answers

Customers order their plants online and pay for them by 11:59 PM Wednesday night.  Customers get an email confirmation of their order, and sellers are notified a purchase has been made.  All orders are picked up from sellers on Friday for distribution to customers.  Customers receive pickup information in their email confirmation, and pick their plants up at a local spot in St. Pete, FL, on Saturday mornings.

You can order plants two ways.  Go to a specific Seller Shop (link to shop) and add plants from their shop to your cart.  Alternately, go to the All Plants Shop (link to shop), add plants to your cart, then proceed to placing your order and paying.

Plants are available for pickup weekly. Orders places by 11:59 PM Wednesday night are ready for pickup that following Saturday, so you get your plants 3 days after your order is placed.  Any orders placed Thursday or later will be included in the next week’s pickup.

Local pickup locations are still being determined.  Your plant pickup location will be in Central St. Pete, and the exact location will be emailed to you with your order confirmation.

We currently only support local pickup as we launch the site.  Once local pickup is running smoothly, we plan to expand to shipping within Florida.  The focus will be shipping to Florida for a few reasons;  we want our plants to be alive and healthy when they make it to you, we want to reduce our environmental impact by keeping shipments local and many of our plants are specific to the Florida climate and bioregion.

Local delivery is coming soon.  We are working out the details for the cost and timing of local delivery, and will update everyone as soon as it’s figured out.

Customers can pay using a debit or credit card, or PayPal.  The various options are displayed after you review your cart and proceed to checkout.

Edible Eden does not currently offer returns or refunds for plants.  At our discretion, we will provide a replacement of the same plant if you encounter issues with a plant within 7 days of pickup.  Please submit a request here (link to contact form with Issue with My Order selected) if you have encountered an issue.
